Thank you to everyone for making our first annual 1Day Walk such a success. Even though it was quite chilly [temp in the 40’s degrees with wind gusts up to 40 mph!] we started movin’ and groovin’ with our Pink Glove Warm-Up and then the Survivors blasted through their banner and began the 5k walk around Lake Peachtree. Enjoy our Pink Glove Warm-Up video on You Tube [You won’t see our Director, Janet Beebe — because she was filming!!]

We had 300 registered to participate in this event. Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Healthfield Hospice, World Gym, Health Concepts, Renewal, THE AVENUE, Custom Tees, SIKADA Design Group and more were some of our sponsors. After the almost 4 mile walk, Free Food for walkers, crew, friends and families from Panda Express, Johnny’s Pizza and cookies from Subway! We distributed more than 500 T-shirts for this event! Survivors shirts say…”I’ve Walked the Walk” . Walk ended with awards, entertainment, stories and a pink rose ceremony on stage as the survivors each were given a long stem pink rose from Janet Beebe and Lesa Merritt, both long time survivors of Breast Cancer.
